CJ Fearnley President, CEO & Chief Technology Officer
CJ Fearnley has been a pioneer in the development and promotion of Linux
systems and Open Source software. In 1993, he recognized the emerging
value of the Linux operating system. Through his leadership position in
the Philadelphia Area Computer Society
(PACS), he began introducing Linux to the Greater Philadelphia region.
Based on his belief in Linux, he founded LinuxForce, Inc. in 1995 to help
organizations develop and maintain mission-critical Linux-based systems.
Using both his technical and business acumen, he built and grew LinuxForce
into the "go-to" firm for companies wanting to realize the
promise and power of Linux and Linux-based systems.
He received his BA in Mathematical Sciences and Philosophy from
Binghamton University in 1989 where he was a Regents Scholar and
has done graduate work at Drexel University.
Beyond his work at LinuxForce, CJ founded the
Philadelphia Linux User's
Group (PLUG) in 1995 and remains active in the organization.
He founded the Philadelphia
Area Debian Society (PADS) in 1999. Most recently, he founded the
Synergetics Collaborative (SNEC)
in 2002.
